The recently held BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) 2010 Kick-Off Ceremony was highlighted by the awarding of top individual and corporate taxpayers of the different Revenue District Offices under Revenue Region 19 Davao City, in recognition of their valuable contribution to the district's collection performance for the year 2009 and consequently, to the region's overall performance. The results placed Revenue Region 19 in the 5th position during the national evaluation conducted for the year.
Davao Doctors Hospital has greatly contributed to this achievement as it was chosen the No. 3 Corporate Taxpayer of Revenue District Office No. 113 (West Davao City) for the year 2009. The award was received by DDH's President and CEO, Mr. Andres M. Licaros, Jr. last March 3, 2010 at the SM Davao Entertainment Plaza. "We take pride in being the top taxpayer among all tertiary private hospitals in the Region. To belong to a select group of top organizations such as Shoemart, Inc. and Camella Homes as the leading corporate taxpayer is a rare achievement for any hospital. While we provide outstanding quality of patient patient care, we remain a major contributor to the continuous development of Mindanao as a growing economy." Mr. Licaros proudly expressed.
The award proves DDH's continued support and cooperation to the plans and programs of the Government. Indeed, Davao Doctors Hospital is committed to its responsibility to the community by paying the right taxes on time.
The awarding was headed by the Deputy Commissioner on Resource Management Group, assisted by the Regional Director and Revenue District Officers of the different District Offices in the region.
